Len Bennett

Consumer Litigation Associates

Leonard Bennett received the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) 2017 Consumer Attorney of the Year Award. Leonard Bennett is a founding partner of Consumer Litigation Associates. He is a former board member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates (NACA) and serves on the National Consumer Law Center’s Partners Council and Public Justice.  Bennett presented NACA’s Congressional testimony on the Fair Credit Reporting Act before the House Committee on Financial Services in 2003, 2007 and 2008.  He is a contributing author of the NCLC’s Fair Credit Reporting Manual. Bennett has been a featured speaker for consumer law and other legal programs nationwide.

Julie Wooding

FICO

Julie Wooding is a Principal Consultant in the Scores group, and has been with FICO since 1993. She works with larger U.S. lenders to help them understand, use, and evaluate our FICO® Score solutions. In addition, Julie provides in-depth credit scoring training to regulators and lenders, most recently in the U.S., Canada, Russia, Mexico, Romania, the Philippines, and Qatar. Julie has experience in behavior and risk score development, and previously worked on the development of FICO® Scores for U.S. and Canadian credit bureaus. In her 23+ years at FICO, Julie also served as a strategy consultant, a role in which she worked with clients to develop, evaluate, and continuously improve their account management strategies. Julie holds a B.S. in Finance and an M.B.A. degree.

Credit Expert

John Ulzheimer is a nationally recognized expert on credit reporting, credit scoring and identity theft. He is the President of The Ulzheimer Group. Formerly of FICO, Equifax and Credit.com, John is the only recognized credit expert who actually comes from the credit industry. He has served as a credit expert witness in more than 230 cases and has been qualified to testify in both Federal and State court on the topic of consumer credit.

Blaine Luetkemeyer

US Congressman

Blaine was first elected to Congress in November 2008, and was re-elected in 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2016. In the 115th Congress, Blaine serves as a member of the House Financial Services Committee and the Subcommittee Chairman of Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit. In addition, Blaine serves as vice chairman of the House Small Business Committee. As the Congressman from the 3rd Congressional District of Missouri, Blaine is committed to representing the interests of the hard-working people by being a strong voice for them in Washington, D.C.

Former Ohio State Attorney General

Former Ohio Attorney General Marc Dann is an active member of SAGE (Society of Attorneys General Emeritus) and the Democratic Attorney General’s Association. Dann filed a class action case against Ohio’s largest Foreclosure Mill Law Firm and has brought dozens of actions against Mortgage Loan Servicers and the Law firms that represent them under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Ohio’s Consumer Sales Practices Act.

Dick Kelly

Senior Regulatory Affairs Advisor, Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB)

For six years, Dick has been the Council’s Regulatory Affairs Advisor, assisting Better Business Bureaus across the country in their efforts to report and rate government actions brought against businesses. He is also a member of the task force that updated the BBB Code of Advertising. Dick is based in Arlington VA.

Previous to his work at the CBBB, Dick spent thirty-six years at the Federal Trade Commission. At the FTC, he held numerous staff and supervisory positions and managed dozens of investigations of deceptive advertising and marketing by companies selling consumer products and services.

ADAM M. WESOLOWSKI is an Attorney with the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection (Division of Financial Practices) in Washington, DC. Mr. Wesolowski investigates and litigates consumer finance cases in enforcement of the FTC Act, the Mortgage Assistance Relief Services (MARS) Rule, the debt relief portions of the Telemarketing Sales Rule, and other laws enforced by the FTC.

Mr. Birnbaum is a member of the Broward County, Palm Beach County, Florida, Wisconsin, and American Bar Associations.
