Biography

Sylvia Kundig has worked in the Federal Trade Commission’s San Francisco office since 1988. During her tenure, she has worked on matters implicating both antitrust and consumer protection enforcement. Regarding antitrust, Sylvia has negotiated settlements in a number of matters that involved physician price fixing absent adequate integration. She has also assisted in numerous merger reviews, many of which involved healthcare.

Regarding consumer protection, Sylvia has brought to conclusion matters involving deceptive advertising practices, violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Funeral Rule, the Business Opportunity Rule, and the Telemarketing Sales Rule. Prior to joining the FTC, Sylvia clerked for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
